Let's call Grandpa
We try and Skype with my parents as often as we can with Myles---so he is quite familiar with what is about to happen when he sees the webcam come out. Because we have to hide it when not in use, he now knows where we hide it. This morning, bright and early, he retrieved it from the drawer and tried to plug it into the computer and asked to "call Geep-pa" (aka Grandpa). Here is a video of him trying to plug in the webcam ....click HERE if you can't view below.

I can count!
Myles is really starting to freak me out---Myles can now count to 10---and not just from memorization---he can tell me the #'s on the weather on TV, on speed limit signs, and randomly elsewhere-----here is a video of the einstein doing his thing!
here is another video shot about a week prior to the one above from us in the car.....
He is also a whiz with his ABC's------tells me his colors and shapes. It is blowing me away watching him morph into this KID. he is not a baby any more!!! Everyday is a new adventure and a new thing learned......OH YEAH! He also peed in the potty by himself 2 times!!! HOORAY! Yep, I am publically discussing my son's peeing habits----but this is HUGE deal with a 2 year old and Mommy and Daddy are VERY proud!

Trying to Catch Up
Myles is 2!!!!!
yep, and I barely have any pictures to prove it---he was sick and so we kept the festivities small---Me, Matthew, Karen and Kevin. But, Myles had lots of cake and ice cream and loving--and isn't that all that matters???

First time in SNOW!
We headed to Buffalo on Thursday after Christmas for a visit with the Sawick family---we got lucky this year as there was already snow on the ground and then it snowed lightly while we were there. This made for some fun with Myles! Believe it or not, we don't usually get snow when we travel to Buffalo, so this was welcomed by us! We stayed with Matthew's sister Mary and family and took Myles to their backyard on a tube in the snow....oh what FUN!

grandpa making myles laugh
My dad figured an easy way to get Myles laughing uncontrollably---throw a ball on top of the roof of the house and let it roll off -----Myles had Dad completely tuckered out as he wouldn't let him stop!
Trick or Treat!
This is actually our first year having fun on Halloween as last year Myles was sick. Our church hosted a "Trunks for Treats" event with a dinner and lots of junk food, games, music and then the kids went trick or treating at a bunch of cars that decorated their trunks in all kinds of different themes----what a blast! and LOTS and LOTS of kids! but it was a great time because we weren't getting in and out of a car, it was a lit parking lot and we trusted these folks.
Myles had much fun chasing the balloons thinking they were balls (he is obsessed with everything being a ball....and then throwing it), petting the dogs and flirting with all of the girls. Little did we know what a rock star he really is at church--as we were walking around, many girls were saying "hi myles" --I guess they help out the younger kids during the childcare while we are in services! But he knew way more people there than we did!

wish this would last......
voluntary vacuuming! For some reason, Myles has been obsessed with my vacuum cleaner (perhaps he was wondering what it was because it was so rarely used??) Anyhoo----I found this one at a consignment sale for $2 and had to get it! definitely getting my money's worth out of it.....
Bouncy House
Myles first time in a bouncy house---poor kid, had no idea what to do---so Matthew got in with him and showed him THEN the fun and giggles began!!!
Day at the Park
Sorry for lack of posts lately----Mr Myles certainly keeps me busy!!! But that is no excuse---
today was a gorgeous day.... it is one of those days I smile that I moved south. Perfect weather day!
However, I've had a house full of sick boys....and to let Matthew rest a bit, I took somewhat better Myles to the park today to let him run and get some fresh air. We have a county park not too far from the house, but we actually don't get there nearly as often as we should. Up until now, Myles really was too small for motst things there--but not now!!!! He got a taste of the slide today and was mesmerized for a good 30 minutes on 1 slide! (sorry, no pix I was having too much fun and forgot!)
then we found the swings...he really wanted this one, but it was WAY too big!
so we switched to this one....much better!
then we found a suspension bridge----he really liked how that felt as he walked over it..after he got used to it
then the fun began at the tunnel! I couldn't get him out he was having so much fun!
it was a great day at the park! We'll definitely go back a LOT more now!

It's that time of year!
I honestly can't believe I am doing this so soon---I thought I had a few years before the annual Fall Fundraising for schools would hit our family!!! But nope, Day Care's need "stuff" too....more books, handouts, toys, educational supplies, cribs, etc......so open your hearts and wallets to help out the place that is teaching Myles how to say his A-B-C's already and knows what numbers are what when pointed to on the wall! yep, my little 19 month old is already doing this stuff--and it is all due to the Day Care.

Myles' First Haircut
I LOVE Myles' hair.....I truly do. I have said that I was going to hold off getting his haircut until people start asking me if he is a boy or a girl. EVERYWHERE we go, someone comments on his hair and how curly and adorable it is...and I truly mean EVERYWHERE. We were in Home Depot one day, and a lady ran up to me and said "I saw him from 3 aisles over and I had to come see that hair up close" (true story). But then reality sunk in. We live in the south. It is hot here (104 yesterday). And that poor boy looked drenched near the end of the day because he has so much hair!!! So, I had to do the good mommy thing and bring him to get his haircut.
I found a place that specializes in kids haircuts---has cool seats---police car, airplane, fire truck, race car.....they understand the kids may not be too happy----and they let the parents be in the way while taking lots of pictures. So it worked out for everyone! Here are a few pix of this new mylestone....
